shapes.inc is a place to collaborate with your people and shapes.

Milestones

2020–2021

AI friends on Discord

We built prototypes that brought AI conversation and memory into Discord communities. People could describe a shape’s personality in plain English and bring it to life.
2024–2025

A million shapes

By September 2024, our Discord shapes reached over a million people a month. By May 2025, we powered over a million shapes and had helped more than 30 million people make friends.
May 2025

shapes across platforms

Our cross-platform work culminated in the shapes.inc API, letting developers bring shapes into their own apps, games, and communities.
Summer 2025

Building shapes.inc

We built shapes.inc as a place to have fun with friends and AI. By March 2026, the app reached over 400,000 monthly active users.
October 2026

Powering collaboration

We’re building shapes.inc to power collaboration with super intelligence. Shapes are collaborative assistants that do things with you and your people.
